Introducing the Myrmecia brevinoda, also known as the Giant Brown Bull Ant, a fascinating and formidable species of ant. These impressive creatures are native to Australia and are known for their large size and aggressive behaviour. Their colouration ranges from reddish-brown to dark brown, and they can grow up to 37mm in length, making them one of the largest ant species in the world. The Giant Brown Bull Ants are skilled hunters with a powerful sting, making them a force to be reckoned with in the wild. If you want to add a unique and intriguing ant species to your collection, the Myrmecia brevinoda is an excellent choice. It is recommended for experienced ant keepers, and it has a very, very potent sting. These large and impressive ants are known for being the biggest Bull Ant and last but not least for their aggressive behaviour.
 
The colony is monogyne, meaning only one queen per colony.
 
The bulldog queen ant's lifespan is 20-25 years in nature.
 
The Life Cycle of Bull Ants
Like other ants, bull ants go through four distinct stages in their full metamorphosis: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. The queen, who is the biggest member of the colony, lays eggs that hatch into tiny larvae.
If your ant colony is kept at 28°C, it will take 5–6 months for an egg to develop into an adult worker!
It is ideal for these ants to have 40–50% humidity in the outworld and 50–70% in the nest area.
Maintain an outworld temperature of 21°C to 30°C and a temperature of 24°C to 28°C for the nest area.

However, from June through September, it's a good idea to remove the heating mat. Your Giant Bull queen ant's lifespan will increase to a maximum of 30 years as a result.
We do recommend a natural ant farm for bull ants.
They eat Organic Ant Honey, fruits, and insects like crickets and fruit flies to survive.
The Protein Jelly is another nourishing option for treating them in place of live food.
Do not provide them water using a water feeder as they can not use them because of their huge mandibles so give them water poured over a tiny cotton ball instead.
